{"id":413,"date":"2012-05-23T08:42:07","date_gmt":"2012-05-23T08:42:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newhopelutheranelca.com\/about\/archives\/"},"modified":"2016-07-25T14:22:44","modified_gmt":"2016-07-25T18:22:44","slug":"transformation-ministry","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/newhopelutheranelca.com\/about-us\/transformation-ministry\/","title":{"rendered":"Transformation Ministry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[mp_row]<\/p>\n<p>[mp_span col=&#8221;12&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2156 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/newhopelutheranelca.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Picture1.jpg\" alt=\"Picture1\" width=\"140\" height=\"94\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is Transformational Ministry?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A two-year process known as CONNECT between we of New Hope, the Indiana-Kentucky Synod and the ELCA.<\/li>\n<li>A way for we at New Hope to discern, renew and move to God\u2019s future for us.<\/li>\n<li>A challenging, hope-filled and exciting adventure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What does CONNECT entail?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Every individual who feel part of New Hope is a member of Transformational Ministry or CONNECT.<\/li>\n<li>It is developed and conceptualized by our own New Hope Transformational Ministry Leadership Team.<\/li>\n<li>It is a lifelong and ever changing process for New Hope and each individual connected here.<\/li>\n<li>It is about being intentional.<\/li>\n<li>It is about experimentation and taking risks.<\/li>\n<li>It is about not being afraid to fail.<\/li>\n<li>It will bring renewal to New Hope and each individual connected here.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What are we growing towards?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding what God\u2019s purpose is for New Hope in the Monticello Community and the world beyond.<\/li>\n<li>Being willing to change for the sake of living out the Gospel.<\/li>\n<li>Sharing leadership among all who are connected to New Hope.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What are we currently working on?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Discerning each of our individual missions given to us by God.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding our individual calls, purposes and guiding principles.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding Transformational Ministry and its guiding principles.<\/li>\n<li>Learning to be Church in the world.<\/li>\n<li>Bringing our faith to where we live and work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What are key practices to help us perform Transformational Ministry?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Intentionally engage in dialogue with God in daily prayer, devotion and reflection. (See Philippians 4:6)<\/li>\n<li>Intentionally dwell in the Word of God through daily Bible study. (See Matthew. 28:19-20)<\/li>\n<li>Actively seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit in daily activities. (See John 14:26)<br \/>\nActively look for, recognize and acknowledge the hand of God in our daily lives.
